Wounded Winter: A Lakota Story is an action-adventure game developed by Redclover Games and released in 2021. The game follows the story of a Lakota Sioux family in 1891 after a surprise attack at their winter home. The action takes place in a single, large map – the Great Plains of America – and lets players explore a variety of environments from high peaks to rivers and lakes. Players take on the role of a Lakota family, whose main goal is to survive the harsh winter, overcome the dangers that threaten their home, find supplies, and ultimately to fulfill the destiny of their tribe. Along the way, players are presented with various puzzles to solve, as well as combat opportunities to overcome enemies in the harsh Great Plains.
